San Pableño’s benefitted from SM Foundation’s Medical and Health Mission

Around 600 beneficiaries from San Pablo City gathered at SM City San Pablo for medical and dental assistance from SM Foundation’s medical mission last October 14, 2015.

Patients availed of free medical services through SM Foundation’s mobile clinic. These included 50 patients who underwent dental extractions, 42 for x-ray exams and. 27 for ECG. They were also given free snack from Mi Goreng Noodles while waiting for their turn in the consultation area.

Most of the kids received immediate medical care and were given appropriate antibiotics and medication. The kids also received educational toys and popcorn from Chummy Chum, SM Foundation’s medical mission program partner.

SM City San Pablo partnered with the City Health of San Pablo , Provincial Health Office of Laguna, San Pablo Doctors Medical Society, Philippine Red Cross San Pablo Chapter for this years’ the Medical Mission. They have showed tremendous support thus making this event a success. KFC also supported the event by being the official food for the volunteers.

Since 2001, SM Foundation has conducted medical missions that have brought a wide-range of medical services to communities nationwide, especially to those in far-flung areas, through its mobile clinics. At the core of SM Foundation’s health advocacy is the aim to provide a wide-range of medical and dental services to target beneficiaries. Since 2001, SM Foundation has brought these services to marginalized communities through its medical missions and its Felicidad T. Sy Wellness Program. (NWR)
