Follow the Dragon as SM City San Pablo Celebrates Chinese New Year 2016

SM City San Pablo joins the Filipino-Chinese community as the mall welcomes the Year of the Fire Monkey. Certainly there is no better place to celebrate the Chinese New Year than SM city San Pablo’s Mall atrium with the Lion and Dragon dance.
The mall had a week long lined up exciting activities showcasing the best of Chinese tradition and culture along with fun filled events for everyone to enjoy.
“We want to give our customers to see and feel a Chinese New Year celebration like no other by coming up with an exciting activities and promos as we all prepare for the Year of the Monkey. We want our shoppers to welcome the year in high spirits and good vibes for 2016 “ said PR Manager Nina Wong Rada.

The festivities kick off last January 25 with the Money Tree Showcase. Shoppers enjoyed having their photos taken in the atrium.Celebrations came full swing last February 7,2016 with feng shui consulation with feng shui expert Antonita Cecilio.

Event highlights also includes the Meet and Greet with Mimi and Mui Miu.

Shoppers enjoys the photo opp with SM’s Monkey mascot MiMi and Miu Miu.
Celebration continues with SM Supermarkets’ pick your lucky Ang Pao as shoppers with 2000 worth of receipt were given a chance to #FindFortuneAtSM. The activity includes the shoppers picking out a red envelope from the Money Tree. Load of prozes where given away.

On Chinese New Year’s Day, February 8, from 10 a.m. onwards, there was the traditional Dragon and Lion Dance Exhibition . Fengshui Consultation continued with Feng Shu expert Eugene Casilla as he shared his predictions for the coming year.
Aside from attractions, SM City San Pablo also gave shoppers the experience of the beautiful tradition of China with various attractions and activities that showcase the best of Chinese culture. Happy Chinese new year everyone! (NWR)
