SM City San Pablo Celebrated 118th Philippine Independence Day

Filipinos all over the world commemorated that day in 1898 when General Emilio Aguinaldo proudly held the Philippine flag aloft and read the Act of the Declaration of Independence in Kawit, Cavite, proclaiming the Philippines as a free country.

This year, all 58 SM Supermalls nationwide simultaneously observed the country’s 118th Independence Day last Sunday at exactly 8:00 a.m., by simultaneously conducting a flag raising ceremony with representatives from local government units, members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, the Philippine National Police, Boy Scouts of the Philippines, the academe and the private sector joining the SM teams during the ceremony.

Here in SM City San Pablo- City Councilors Arnel Ticzon amd Karla Adajar graced the event with 202 infantry “Unifier “ Brigade headed by LTC Deputy Brigade Commander Peale Jon Bondoc, Boy Scout of the Philippines-San Pablo Chapter, Brgy San Rafael Chairman Ed Dela Cruz, Canossa College-Drum and Lyre/Oyayi Choir. The Philippine Red Cross-San Pablo Chapter was also present and SM Affliates and Mall tenants. Event highlights include the singing of the National Anthem followed by a.message given by Vice Mayor thru her representative Arturo Ciolo and a performance of the  PNP Laguna PPSC Band.
